We strongly believe that outdoor learning should mainly happen while moving around and experiencing things outside of a classical classroom setting. However, we know that depending on the weather the students and teacher shelter, there should be space for storage and some space for learning.
Huvi offers a modern modular outdoor space for experimenting, shelter and storage, depending on your school’s needs and environment. Mix and match your own solution out of our prepared modules or choose one we have already combined for what we have seen schools need the most. And – as we really believe in real-life examples, we have chosen materials and structures that make the outdoor space a learning experience on its own.

Our architects Katrin Koov and Kadri Klementi architectural office b210 are experts in designing environments for learning. They have co-authored guidelines on how architecture can support new learning methodologies and school environments (“School space in change”, only available in Estonian). Katrin has also researched schools’ outdoor spaces with her students at the Estonian Academy of Arts. We asked them to design an outdoor classroom solution that supports meaningful learning. HUVI outdoor classroom solution is the outcome of this. We are still working on many ideas to expand the solution, but you can already start planning.
